I am attending this university to become one of those future teachers of America and I found that when I searched certain public forums, like Twitter and Myspace, and the majority of the posts really said anything important about my future profession. I was disappointed in the fact that there was nothing really that could possibly help me and mostly all of the posts had nothing to do with the broader public sphere. The fact that only like 5 out of the 20 posts on the first page of a "future teachers" search on Twitter only had something important to say about loans and how they can help us or how a new teacher can get started is ridiculous. I really don't want to know why someone got a new suit for their new teaching job or what grades they got on their exams for becoming a teacher; those issues seem trivial to me and my future career. Here is the link to that exact page: http://twitter.com/search?q=%22future%20teachers%22
Some teachers may find this to be what they are looking for in their careers, but I would have to say that I would be taking the modernist approach to what certain people were saying. They should be keeping these certains things to themselves because the majority of people do not want to hear about this. I'm sure that there are some out there that would find these things entertaining, and some that find them annoying, but I guess it is all just up to the individual.

I completely agree with you about when I look up things on these sites about my future career as a teacher, they are a joke! The link you posted about Twitter completely supports your idea of how all the rambling on about these people’s posts simply bash future teachers or tells the reader that they are an idiot because they want to be a teacher, these things I don’t want to hear about. I want to hear about how great teaching is or how I can get my foot in the door when the time is right and when the economy gets better. I also agree that I don’t want to hear about how I can get more loans from these people or fake sites, I want real advice, not some made up stuff!
